Activity Suggestion #3

Idea #3 - It's been 10 days since the kids and I have left the house. They've been in the backyard, but that's about it. I have been very torn about going anywhere. I don't want to be part of the problem and I have been hearing that people have been flocking to the parks in large numbers. So, when it comes to trying to get some fresh air and a chance to stretch the legs, finding anywhere walking distance from the house has become challenging.

The Forest Preserves of Cook County has 700,000 acres to explore. It is one of the oldest and largest forest preserve districts in the U.S. We headed over to LaBagh Woods and walked along the North Branch Trail. We were able to keep our distance and enjoy the warmth of the sun, on what ended up being a very nice spring day.

To find a little extra space to move around, check out a Forest Preserve near you.
